Player account
This name is for the table, not the cart.
Buying cards and showing up as a player are two different doors. Shops check you in with a player username — Bandai TCG+, Play! Pokémon, a Wizards account — not your TCGplayer login.
Make the account before your first event night if you can. It takes a few minutes, and it means you’re a person on the list instead of “the new kid at table three.” You still belong either way.
Bandai TCG+ (One Piece, Digimon, Dragon Ball, Gundam, Union Arena)
Official organized play for Bandai’s games lives in BANDAI TCG+. You’ll create a Bandai Namco ID, then a TCG+ profile — that’s the name they scan when you check in, pair for a round, or register a deck.

One profile covers the Bandai family. You don’t need a new username every time you switch from Luffy to a Gundam.
Play! Pokémon
Pokémon organized play uses a Pokémon Trainer Central (opens in a new tab) account (the old Trainer Club, renamed). Log in, then opt into Play! Pokémon so you get a player ID for League nights and tournaments.
Read the program in Pokémon’s own words: Play! Pokémon (opens in a new tab). The account is free. You do not need to be chasing Championship Points to deserve a chair.
Magic: a Wizards account (not a store WPN login)
For Magic events, you want a Wizards account — the same family of login as Arena and the Companion app. Stores on the Wizards Play Network use it to enroll you. That is different from a retailer WPN login, which is for shops, not players.
Register at myaccounts.wizards.com (opens in a new tab). If a shop can still add you as a guest for one night, that’s a kindness, not a plan. Bring the account when you can.
